Insert overmolding is the most common overmolding technique. It is an injection molding process that involves using two different materials to manufacture one particular item. Therefore, one material (usually thermoplastic elastomers) is molded onto another material (rigid plastic). Overmolding is particularly used for enhancing the properties of your product design.
