Carbonitriding

Romalp Industries members master carbonitriding technique.

Commonly applied on low alloyed steels, carbonitriding is a thermochemical treatment involving surface modification. This technique consists in introducing carbon and nitrogen compounds into metal components and thus to increase surface hardness to protect against undesirable effects of corrosion and wear.
